Transitioning can be difficult in itself, and RAINS understands that it’s even more difficult when you factor in the rural area in which we live and the limited resources that are currently available in the region. RAINS is also aware of the options and resources that can help to support you in your transition locally and nationally and we would love to be able to connect you to those services whenever possible. Knowing that there is still often a gap, however, we have developed the Transitional Support Services to help supplement where needed. Some of the services we can provide range from information, resource connections, direction and guidance on processes, and even funding for services.
RAINS offers this support for transitional needs to help Rainbow (LGBTQ+) Community Members to help them live authentically.
Please be aware that:
- Each person will need to have an email to complete the application
- Each person will need to complete an application to be considered
- Services will be provided through meeting virtually or at the Community Center
- There will be no funds given to the member directly
- A member of the RAINS Team would meet and pay for things as needed. (Our Team Members are diverse from all walks and spectrums of life. They are required to be of the Rainbow Community and a proven ally)
- Your information will always be held confidential
- RAINS will have no need for the dead or unwanted name to be kept in our records at all
- Some items in this questionnaire are asked for demographic data collection only. We encourage you to answer the demographic questions, all personal information is kept confidential except for the statistical purposes
