(She/Her)
Natalie is a nurse practitioner with 5 years experience in providing primary care and urgent care services. Natalie enjoys providing full-spectrum primary care from a trauma-informed and Health At Every Size (HAES) perspective. Natalie is particularly passionate about LGBTQ+ health and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Natalie also has a strong interest in keeping current on scientific literature for best practices in primary care and practicing evidence-based medicine.
Natalie’s background includes four years of primary care at a rural community health clinic at Family Health Center where she served the low-income rural communities of Southwest Washington and was a safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community. She also worked for one year at ZoomCare providing telehealth services. She has a unique scientific background for a nurse practitioner; she has four scientific publications (one of which is first author) and had a two-year research fellowship in functional neuroimaging at Duke University where she studied how mindfulness buffers the brain from the effects of early life stress.
She lives with her spouse and their three cats, and enjoys hiking, photography, meditation, and is an avid reader of audiobooks and scientific journals.
Natalie is a RAINS board member and is our medical provider with her practice, Lavender Health Spectrum. With this gender clinic, Natalie, focuses on Trans and Non-Binary Health Care. Lavender is hosted at the RAINS Community Center.
