RAINS wants to hear from you! And so does the rest of the community! Let’s all work together to provide an accurate and detailed list of the wonderful, and not-so-wonderful, places to shop, visit, and explore in this place we call home!
Living in a smaller, more rural community as someone who identifies within the Rainbow (LGBTQ+) Community can be challenging. It can be difficult to know where the safe and inclusive places to shop and receive services are. Sometimes it can create so much anxiety that people choose to stay home rather than to risk their personal safety by going out. Or, worse yet, they choose not to come out as their authentic selves because they do not feel safe.
RAINS has heard countless stories like this here and has felt the ripple effect it has had on everyone. The Community Report Card is a way to help try to alleviate that anxiety, give power back to those who feel powerless, and provide access to an easy reporting system that will be updated regularly as we receive new reports.
